Longtime Medi-Cal director Stan Rosenstein WON'T be leaving state service next month after all, according to
news reports. Rosenstein, who had announced his resignation last week, intended to be a consultant in the private sector.
Instead, Health and Human Services Secretary Kim Belshe asked him to stay, and bumped up his salary (though not as much as he'd have made consulting, I bet).
Rosenstein's decision to stay put is likely a positive for Medi-Cal, as he has sincere affection for the program.
