It's not just Anthem Blue Cross behaving badly to customers of individual policies in California.
Here's a recent
column by David Lazarus of the Los Angeles Times about a 50-year-old father who is a cancer patient who's convinced that his insurance company, Health Net, wants him to die. Health Net paid for the first round of the man's cancer treatment, but when the cancer spread, they declared the company changed its rules and deemed that same treatment "experimental" -- and no longer covered by insurance.
