In California, we’ve now seen clear and consistent majorities in support of the new federal health law, for over a year since its passage.

While national polls have shown a split between supporters and opponents of the law both in the 40s, some with either side slightly ahead, the Field Poll in California came out on Monday indicating that of Californians, 52% support the law, and only 37% oppose it.

That’s important news, news (reported in the San Francisco Chronicle and elsewhere) that should provide momentum to efforts to continue to implement and improve upon the federal law–including the dozen-plus bills in the legislature, and to the efforts of Governor Brown and other leaders to take the next steps to maximize the benefit for California.
